Though Mukuro’s position is more of mercenary than the Vongola Decimo’s Mist guardian (while Chrome fully asumed the position), the Mist ring is usually being kept by Mukuro most of the times.

This is because they have the knowledge that Primo generation could projected through the ring by their will and after the Shimon arc thing, Mukuro doesn’t want Daemon getting near Chrome.
